At Dejama Home and Singing BirdBox, we’ve always believed in giving back. While our core initiatives focus on sustainability and reforestation, we recently had the opportunity to support a cause that speaks to the heart of building a brighter future: education.
One of our customers introduced us to Makary Blangouga, a remarkable organisation making an impact in one of the hardest-hit areas of Cameroon. This region faces severe challenges, including prolonged drought, the effects of climate change, and ongoing violence. Despite these obstacles, Makary Blangouga operates entirely through the dedication of volunteers, running a school on a shoestring annual budget of just €30,000.
Inspired by their commitment, we’re delighted to share that we’ve donated €800 to their cause. For a school operating in such difficult conditions, this contribution can go a long way toward providing essential tools and opportunities for its students.
